20+ Years.
Thousands of Frames.
Still Geeking Out.
They say after two decades in the film industry, you’re supposed to become a "cynical veteran." Apparently, I missed the memo. I’m still the guy who gets genuinely, embarrassingly excited about a perfect lighting setup or a subtle shift in a color grade.
I’ve spent the better part of my career as a DP and Director, which is really just a fancy way of saying I’m a professional observer. But lately, I’ve finally stepped into the role I’ve dreamed of for years: Colorist. It turns out, I’m just as obsessed with the pixels as I am with the glass.
My approach is built on a simple philosophy I call Heart and Hue:
The Heart: This is the storytelling. I’m a firm believer that if a message doesn't make you feel something, it’s just noise. I use my 20+ years of experience to make sure your story has a pulse and a purpose.
The Hue: This is the magic. It’s where I take that "Heart" and make it visual. I love the color process because it’s the final step in making a film the most beautiful version of itself.
I’ve picked up some awards along the way—including a regional Emmy that my wife occasionally lets me display—but the real win has been the relationships I’ve kept since day one. I’m a self-taught craftsman who values a handshake and a Hazy IPA as much as a 4K export.
I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon—mostly because I’m having too much fun. If you want a filmmaker who brings two decades of "been-there-done-that" wisdom paired with the energy of a kid with his first camera, let’s talk.
